The Director of Campus Development at Murdoch University is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the implementation of the campus development plan (CDP), which will see a renewal of the University’s South Street campus.
Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Andrew Deeks, the Director of Campus Development will develop and implement the plan for the CDP and ensure effective delivery of the plan, including significant new build projects; repurpose, renovation and refurbishment projects; and provide the infrastructure to move the campus to carbon neutrality by 2030.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and visionary leader to lead the transformation of Murdoch University's campus environment and contribute to the enhancement of teaching, learning, and research facilities.
Applications are encouraged from individuals who have a proven track record of successfully leading complex capital projects from inception to completion, with expertise in strategic planning, design development and construction management.
Ideally you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields with a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in capital project management, preferably within the higher education sector or large-scale institutional environments. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and industry standards governing construction, land use and environmental sustainability are essential.
You must have exceptional communication skills and be able to lead in a collaborative and inclusive style – motivating teams, building consensus and fostering a culture of excellence.
