Responsibilities

  • Lead the way as the appointed chair, armed with accessible funding, and the opportunity to nurture initiatives from inception.
  • Define the position from the ground up and infuse distinct thoughts, innovations, and skills into the role.
  • Connect with industry partners and internal stakeholders, set meaningful objectives, and engage in community and industry events.
  • Secure external research funding and mentor academic staff.

Requirements

  • Hold a Doctoral level qualification in the Built Environment or a related area.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of internationally recognised research publications, successful supervision of higher degree research students, and securing substantial grant funding.
  • Show successful strategic engagement with industry.
