Salary
  • Remuneration Package: Academic Level B $139,458 to $164,559 p.a. (comprising Salary of $117,844 to $139,151 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)

Responsibilities
  • Deliver diverse research outputs in collaboration with the Centre Director, Chief Economist, and Centre Manager.
  • Produce high-quality, place-based research and advocacy outputs to inform and influence policy making for Western Sydney.
  • Undertake traditional research activities such as social research, literature reviews, ethics applications, and data analysis.
  • Write research reports and manage project timelines and budgets.
  • Support strategic advocacy and partnership development by preparing presentations, funding proposals, policy briefs, and submissions.
  • Lead Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activities as required.

Requirements
  • Recent doctoral graduate with a passion for applied, community-led research.
  • Experience in producing research for non-academic audiences.
  • Strong engagement and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work with government, industry, community, and academic partners.
  • Knowledge of socio-economic disadvantage, cultural diversity, urban development, and wellbeing issues in Western Sydney is highly valued.
