  • $100 K- $107 K pro rata (based on experience) + 17% Super + Annual Leave Loading

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and research assistance to senior research staff.
  • Collaborate with team members, including individuals with intellectual disabilities, to ensure inclusive and effective research practices.
  • Contribute valuable knowledge and expertise to the research team.
  • Revise cardiometabolic health guidelines for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Requirements
  • Honours degree or equivalent in Health, Allied Health, Psychology or related discipline, or equivalent level of knowledge through education, training or experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience with the health care needs of people with intellectual disability, particularly in relation to cardiometabolic health and its determinants.
  • Experience working with and/or supporting people with lived experience of intellectual disability.
  • Knowledge of research methods, particularly conducting and designing literature reviews, developing research projects and reporting against milestones.
  • Experience with computer systems and applications for literature reviews, statistics programs, referencing programs, and Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated superior interpersonal communication skills to maintain effective stakeholder relationships while exercising discretion and confidentiality.
  • Excellent time and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and also take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
  • Understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values, along with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
