Salary
  • Total remuneration range $45,570 to $61,134 pa (includes salary range of $38,504 to $51,655 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)

Responsibilities
  • Join the ARC Linkage Project 'Low-density high-performance proppants for hydraulic fracturing process'.
  • Develop advanced low-density proppants (LDP) for the hydraulic fracturing process.
  • Facilitate laboratory activity (e.g. proppant fluid conductivity) at UQ’s School of Mechanical Engineering.
  • Build the porous inorganic material capacity at UniSQ’s Springfield laboratory.

Requirements
  • An honours degree or higher qualification in a related area such as chemical engineering and inorganic materials.
  • Completion of a Doctoral qualification will be highly regarded.
  • Research experience on porous material and fluid transportation within porous materials.
  • Excellent workshop and laboratory skills, including the assembly, commissioning and maintenance of complex apparatus.
  • High level oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
