Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level executive management support to the DVC & VP Education.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the DVC & VP Education’s office.
  • Manage internal and external relations while delivering strategic advice on institutional and government policy developments.
  • Lead and coordinate major programs of work and projects.
  • Provide strategic and policy advice on government, sector, and institutional issues.
  • Conduct high-level analysis to prepare reports, submissions, and briefings for the DVC & VP Education and senior leaders.
  • Oversee the preparation of strategic and operational plans for the Division.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across the University to ensure an integrated approach to educational goals.
  • Supervise a Senior Executive Officer and Senior Executive Assistant.

Requirements
  • Extensive experience in executive management, research, and policy analysis within a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong capabilities in strategic planning, project management, and delivering high-level advice and reports.
  • Ability to engage with senior leaders and build positive relationships.
  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience conducting detailed research and analysis for executive-level reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and provide strategic advice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write executive-level reports and policy documentation.
  • Financial literacy, including experience in budget forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
