Responsibilities
  • Provide academic leadership and operational management for the Department of Nursing.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership team and professional staff to enhance teaching, research, and professional activities.
  • Oversee curriculum development across various delivery methods including face-to-face, online, and blended formats.
  • Supervise research students and teach postgraduate units.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of academic offerings and research profiles.
  • Enhance the Department's external profile and support its activities through collaboration with other university departments and external entities.
  • Represent the University and School in external engagements and research initiatives.

Requirements
  • Doctoral qualification in Nursing or a closely related discipline.
  • AHPRA registration as a Nurse.
  • A teaching qualification.
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in nursing, including nursing leadership and education roles.
  • Experience in formulating and implementing strategic, academic, and business plans for the Department.
  • Ability to promote innovation and excellence in teaching and learning.
