Responsibilities
  • Drive the success of the RMIT Trades Innovation Centre at the Bundoora East campus.
  • Lay the foundations for the launch of trades and related programs in 2025.
  • Tackle operational challenges impacting the student experience.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and service teams to ensure outstanding stakeholder experiences.
  • Engage in strategic thinking and problem-solving for exceptional outcomes.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead and manage a significant educational innovation project.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the vocational education and training (VET) sector and industry training requirements.
  • Ability to implement strategies catering to diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Proven leadership skills to negotiate, influence, motivate, and build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to establish partnerships with schools, tertiary institutions, industry, local government, and the community.
  • Capacity to implement innovative teaching and learning strategies for diverse groups.
  • Advanced skills in information and communication technologies for enhancing teaching and operational processes.
  • Understanding of resource management principles including finance, facilities management, OHS, Equal Opportunity, and Industrial Relations.
  • Ability to ensure alignment with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
