Salary
  • $112,916 - $128,026 per annum plus 17% superannuation

Responsibilities
  • Analyse hydrogen reduction of a range of iron ore samples using various equipment including tube furnaces, TGA/DSC, lab-scale fluidised bed reactors, mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, SEM, EDS, and XRD analysis.
  • Develop kinetic models of the hydrogen reduction process applicable over a wide range of temperatures and raw material compositional variations.
  • Utilize characterisation techniques such as EBSD, ICP-MS, or titrations as needed.

Requirements
  • Strong background in materials science, chemistry, or metallurgy.
  • Experience with hydrogen reduction processes and relevant analytical techniques.
  • Ability to develop kinetic models based on experimental data.
