The Opportunity
Are you passionate about academic administration and ready to lead a dynamic team? Western Sydney University, The College is seeking a dedicated Team Leader for our Academic Administration team.
In this role, you will provide essential support to the team, ensuring the smooth operation of academic services. You will work closely with the Director of Support Services, making strategic recommendations and providing operational leadership. Your responsibilities will include:
- Fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
- Overseeing team operations to meet legislative and quality standards
- Continuously improving administrative processes
- Ensuring the timely and accurate provision of academic support services
- Maintaining the integrity of student records
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships across the College and Western Sydney University
This is a full-time, ongoing position based at Nirimba (Blacktown) Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. Please review the position description for further information.
About You
You are a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in administrative roles, adept at managing diverse teams and providing comprehensive support functions. Your expertise lies in designing, developing, and implementing new administrative systems, focused on continuous improvement and service excellence. You excel in interpersonal communication, negotiation, and listening, effortlessly building networks and relating to stakeholders from various backgrounds. You handle multiple tasks, challenging situations and tight deadlines with ease, maintaining composure under pressure. Technically proficient, you are well-versed in using applications like Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various database tools.

Working with Children Check
As the College provides education opportunities to a range of ages including under 18 years olds, it is a prerequisite to have/gain WWC clearance. It is a mandatory requirement to obtain and maintain a “NSW Working with Children Check Clearance” to work at The College.

Remuneration Package: Professional Staff Level 8 $129,988 p.a. (comprising Salary of $114,349 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading) in accordance with the College Enterprise Agreement.
