Responsibilities
  • Delivery of assigned minor works projects under the direction of management and supervision of the Senior Manager Capital Works.
  • Handling multiple minor projects simultaneously with a good understanding of project management practices.
  • Investigating project user requirements, estimating project costing, monitoring project progress, and providing technical expertise to resolve issues or discrepancies.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders across RMIT University and engaging external project teams such as architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, building surveyors, and contractors.
  • Managing project risks and ensuring all minor works meet financial, performance quality, safety, and environmental objectives.
  • Providing high-level essential administrative tasks and maintaining a high degree of internal and external customer service.

Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience in managing and delivering multiple minor works/projects simultaneously within a large complex organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to inform, engage, and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders in a high-volume work environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, negotiation, and interaction skills with the ability to adapt communication styles.
  • Experience in providing regular updates on project progressions and outcomes.
  • Technical knowledge of construction/professional disciplines and familiarity with Victorian Building Regulations, Work cover, Occupational Health and Safety, and other relevant standards.
  • Ability to manage performance of contracts, programs, and projects effectively, delivering results on time and within budget.
