Responsibilities
  • Providing technical support within the STEM Technical Stores.
  • Providing service and advice to STEM staff and students on obtaining or procuring consumables.
  • Maintaining the operations of the store and consumable stock levels.
  • Supporting staff and students in purchasing consumables.
  • Ensuring the maintenance of appropriate hazardous handling activities.
  • Providing technical support to staff and students.
  • Ensuring timely maintenance of the workspaces under the guidance of the Technical Coordinator.
  • Supporting the adoption and implementation of OHS standards.
  • Delivering client-centric, professional service.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience in a scientific (chemical, biological) or technical store or similar area.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of operations related to inventory or warehousing including chemical storage, practices and techniques.
  • Experience with inventory software is an advantage.
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated understanding of current OH&S legislation and other field or industry regulations or standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and with a diverse range of people.
