  • Level A – $83,468 – $113,262 p.a. or Level B – $119,231 - $141,581 plus 17% super

Responsibilities
  • Undertake internationally competitive research on quantum sensing and nanoscale magnetometry leading to journal publications with Prof Jeffrey McCallum and other members of the Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology (CQC2T) and relevant research groups within the School of Physics and the wider University as required by the CQC2T research goals.
  • Pursue the quantum sensing focussed goals as laid out in the CQC2T research program.
  • Liaise closely with research students and other members of the CQC2T programs at the University of Melbourne node and across the Centre as required.

Requirements
  • A PhD or equivalent in a relevant area of experimental physics.
  • An ability to work closely with a team towards a common goal, and independently.
  • A demonstrated aptitude for research, with a sound publication record in relevant areas, commensurate with experience and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare research reports and manuscripts for publication.
