About the opportunity:
The Centre for Ageing Research and Translation (CARAT), a newly established University Research Centre within the Faculty of Health, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to work within one or two of the existing major streams of work in the Centre, which are largely focused on innovation and interventions to help maintain quality of life and well-being for older people and their carers living in the community or in residential aged care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a dynamic multidisciplinary team on impactful research.
- Contribute to projects in Dementia and Cognition, Innovative Models of Care, and Nursing and Allied Health Workforce.
- Focus on knowledge translation to benefit the community.
- Work on interventions to improve the quality of life for older individuals and their caregivers.
Qualifications:
- PhD in a relevant discipline (ageing, health, etc.).
- Strong interest in policy and practice issues related to ageing and aged care.
- Proven research achievements in ageing, aged care, or health services.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in research project planning and implementation.
