Salary
  • Remuneration Package: HEW Level 7 $121,056 to $130,572 p.a. (comprising Salary of $102,294 to $110,335 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)

Responsibilities
  • The Security Co-ordinator has responsibility for the delivery of operational safety & security services and initiatives for the Western Sydney University community across multiple campuses.
  • Supervising campus based contract security staff who perform security activities across a designated cluster of campuses.
  • Ensuring the correct flow of traffic, the application of Western Sydney University parking compliance policies, traffic related activities, and ensuring overall safety & security across the campus community.

Requirements
  • Possession of a current NSW 1A Security Licence as per the Security Industry Act 1997.
  • Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management or a related discipline.
  • Experience in supervising security workers and leading a security or risk management team in a service delivery environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant Acts of Parliament such as the Crimes Act (NSW) 1900 and the Security Industry Act 1997.
  • Ability to prepare detailed and accurate reports on security, safety, and crime issues.
  • Experience in supervising security staff and contractors, monitoring performance, and coordinating training programs.
  • Experience in coordinating and implementing effective emergency management plans.
  • Strong organisational and customer-focused skills, understanding of safe working practices in the security industry, and well-developed communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
