  • Remuneration Level 6: $100,354 - $107,054 + 17% Superannuation

Responsibilities
  • Provide end-to-end digital media production services to staff in the faculty to ideate, develop, manage and review learning and teaching focussed resources including video and audio, to help improve the experience of students.
  • Collaborate with Education Design and Quality team members on digital education projects and tasks under the guidance of the Education Design and Quality Manager and/or the Educational Designer.
  • Oversee the management of the Faculty’s learning and teaching digital assets resulting from media production activities (internal and external) and the ongoing maintenance of digital assets published via UNSW and/or third-party applications.
  • Manage the physical digital media resources of the team and Faculty studio space, including advising on and organising procurement, storage facilities, servicing of equipment, and internal loans and the booking of studio facilities.
  • Periodically review, analyse and report on the use of physical resources and educational assets being used in faculty programs and courses, to help ensure a consistent level of quality across all programs as well as a quality level of service to staff.
  • Respond to enquiries (in person and/or virtually) from academic staff regarding creation, management and the use of digital assets to deliver quality learning experiences for students.
  • Proactively create and maintain training resources and offer and deliver training to Law & Justice staff (including individual and small group consultations) regarding the use of and creation of digital media in learning and teaching.
  • Ensure University, Faculty and School policies, procedures, and processes are applied consistently within digital learning environments, digital course activities and resources, and education processes including intellectual property and copyright, privacy and universal design principles.

Requirements
  • A qualification (bachelor’s degree or higher) in media production, digital communications or related area, or equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of training, education or experience.
  • Demonstrated experience producing and publishing media (from conceptualisation through development, acquisition and post-production phases) with strong project management skills and experience coordinating multi-media projects with evidence of creativity and innovation.
  • Strong understanding of web design and new media educational delivery software and an interest in emerging digital technologies and their application in an educational setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud products including Premier Pro, Audition, Illustrator and Photoshop (or industry equivalents).
  • An understanding of the Educational/Learning Design process and the role digital media plays in meeting student learning outcomes and staff expectations.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing physical resources including equipment and/or facilities, or similar.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive client service focus and a proven ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative professional relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively, flexibly and productively as an effective team member and meet multiple deadlines.
