The Opportunity
200 startups/year receive support from UNSW Founders Program
Full-time (35 hours week), 2-year fixed term contract
$123,044-$138,637+ 17% super + leave loading
The Founders Program helps all UNSW staff, students and alumni build the capabilities and networks they need to create positive impact through entrepreneurship. This is achieved through delivering foundational entrepreneurship experiences, educating founders with knowledge on how to design and execute successful business models, and connecting entrepreneurs to the local and international innovation ecosystems.
The Investment & Portfolio Program Manager has responsibility for the day-to-day management of our portfolio of startups in which the university holds equity, as well as designing and delivering complementary activities such as the Angel Investment Program. You will continue to build on the reputation of UNSW as a leading university for entrepreneurship in line with the University’s 2025 Strategy and you will have the opportunity to create positive impact for many different UNSW stakeholders.
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Startups, and does not have any direct reports.

Who you are
You have experience in program or event delivery and can demonstrate your knowledge of funding options for early-stage startups, best-practice startup support methodologies and the investment landscape. Experience working with entrepreneurs, providing coaching or mentoring, and facilitating workshops is essential.
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills are also required, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software and committed to UNSW’s values and health and safety responsibilities, both psychosocial and physical.
