Salary
  • Total remuneration valued to Research Fellow (Academic Level B) $134,709 - $158,885 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $113,831 - $134,397 (pro rata) pa, employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading or Senior Research Fellow (Academic Level C) $168,512 - $182,954 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $142,625 - $154,969 (pro rata) pa, employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. A 3% salary increase will be effective from the beginning of the first full pay period commencing on or after 1st January 2025. 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff. Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct high-quality applied research to contribute to and strengthen the University's research profile, specifically the profile of the Institute of Child Protection Studies (ICPS).
  • Support child-safe organisations and communities, strengthen child protection service systems, and inform practice.
  • Promote children and young people's participation in research.
  • Identify and secure applied research projects and support the measurement and evaluation of child abuse prevention initiatives.
  • Contribute to community engagement and research impact initiatives focusing on strengthening practice with children, young people, and families.

Requirements
  • Experience in child-focused research initiatives.
  • Ability to translate research findings to inform policy development and service delivery.
  • Strong research skills applicable to projects related to children's safety and wellbeing.
