Salary
  • Total remuneration valued to $130,436 - $145,828 (pro rata) pa, including salary component $110,220 - $123,227 (pro rata) pa (HEW 8), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff. Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse, document and develop the technical aspects of customer business and data requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders, end users, project team members and suppliers to develop and recommend software solutions appropriate to their needs.
  • Ensure products adhere to university architecture, frameworks, policies and standards to meet strategic needs.
  • Advise and consult with business system owners and the IT Directorate on enhancing and extracting maximum benefits from investments.
  • Develop end to end delivery of high quality and maintainable solutions/products utilized by staff and students at the university.
  • Provide hands-on full stack development capabilities with expert understanding of backend, frontend, systems and data domains.
  • Experience working across the full software lifecycle, analysing and refining requirements, proposing solutions, estimating, developing, deployment, ongoing maintenance.
  • Compile and deploy Banner applications across Tomcat servers.
  • Develop and support system data feeds and integration between Banner and other systems using interoperable APIs.
  • Provide coaching, conduct code reviews, provide development and best practice guidance to uplift skill capabilities within the team.

Requirements
  • Degree in IT or related discipline and relevant Cloud certifications.
  • Experience in Java, JavaScript, Groovy, Grails framework, cron jobs, shell scripting, SQL skills for Oracle databases.
  • Strong understanding of Higher Education Software and experience with Ellucian products.
