Salary
  • Base salary range: Level A, $80,520 – $108,362 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

Responsibilities
  • Use Plant Synthetic and Molecular Biology approaches to create innovative solutions to biological challenges relevant to plants in space and vertical farming.
  • Engage in collaborative research projects with P4S University colleagues and Industry partners.
  • Supervise students in high quality postgraduate teaching programmes and educational outreach activities.
  • Translate fundamental biomolecular science to provide innovative solutions for plant use on earth and beyond.
  • Work on projects focusing on building Synbio parts and tools for using plant chloroplasts as protein production factories.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in synthetic and/or molecular biology.
  • Demonstrated experience in research project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing manuscripts for publication.
