About the Role
As the Resource Development Lead, you will ensure the creation of high-quality educational resources that meet project objectives. You will oversee curriculum mapping, resource development, and quality assurance processes, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with the Victorian Curriculum and Department standards.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead project management of resource creation, attending client meetings, mentoring unit writers, and meeting deliverable deadlines.
- Conduct curriculum mapping and oversee the development of units in line with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0.
- Ensure quality assurance through editing, proof-reading, and compliance with Department guidelines, including copyright and design requirements.
Selection Criteria
ESSENTIAL
- Knowledge of contemporary theoretical and policy debates and practices within primary English.
- Developed understanding of the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 and the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0.
- Experience teaching in primary schools in Australia;
- Experience as a literacy specialist in schools in Victoria and/or Australia
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and constructively in teams, including multi-disciplinary teams;
- Experience with working with cloud-based platforms and the Microsoft suite of programs
- Experience in leadership role.
DESIRABLE
- A record of producing resources to support the teaching of English.
- A developed understanding of synthetic phonics and structured literacy approaches.
Who We Are Looking For
You will have a strong understanding of contemporary theoretical and policy debates in the discipline, with experience teaching English and Literacy skills in Victorian schools. You will also demonstrate excellent collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams and possess strong digital literacy, aligning with the University’s commitment to digital pedagogies in research, learning, and teaching. Experience in a leadership role is desirable but not essential.
