Salary
  • Higher Education Worker Level 7 - $121,056 to $130,572 p.a. (comprising base salary of $102,294 to $110,335 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading)

Responsibilities
  • Manage the DVCIL’s diary, emails, and meeting schedules, ensuring all commitments are met.
  • Prepare briefing notes, meeting papers, and routine/non-routine correspondence for the DVCIL.
  • Provide committee support, including organising meetings, minute taking, and follow-ups on action items.
  • Handle all travel arrangements, both domestic and international, for the DVCIL.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the role, ensuring discretion and professionalism at all times.
  • Facilitate communication between the Division and key stakeholders, ensuring the flow of information.
  • Coordinate reports, papers, and other documentation as required.
  • Assist in the planning and organisation of Division events, including the NAIDOC Gala Dinner and other high-profile initiatives.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a high-volume, senior administrative support role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with staff and stakeholders at all levels.
  • High-level written communication skills, with experience in preparing reports, briefing notes, and correspondence.
  • A proven ability to exercise discretion, diplomacy, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • A high level of computer literacy, including experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
