Salary
  • HEO3 - $62,494- $70,860 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% and shift work loadings apply.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality care for all equine, large animal and hobby farm patients (goats, sheep, alpacas etc).
  • Work in the hospital setting with internal medicine specialists.
  • Monitor and treat hospitalised patients including emergency triage and critical care.
  • Assist surgeons on elective and emergency procedures.
  • Support primary opinion clinicians for both emergency and non-emergency consultations.
  • Work as part of a clinical team through a 24/7 roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in equine handling including ability to safely perform manual restraint; in hand leading and controlled lunging.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a clinical setting.
  • Attention to detail in record keeping and documentation.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently but participate cooperatively in team activities.
  • Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Completion of a relevant certificate or a combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
