Victoria University TAFE delivers accredited courses, apprenticeships, traineeships and customised training programs that link closely with industry. Our electrical courses are delivered in a modern, purpose-built, specialty trades facility at VU Sunshine and Werribee campus.
About the Role:
As a TAFE Sessional Teacher, you will have the opportunity to share your trade experience with the next generation of students. You will collaborate with other teachers in developing learning resources for our courses, as well as training and assessing students, and maintaining accurate records. This is a sessional teaching position working primarily at our Sunshine Campus.
Salary and Conditions of Employment:
For sessional teaching roles, the hourly rate payable is $86.90 per hour inclusive of 25% loading, plus 11.5% superannuation.
Conditions of employment will be covered by Victoria University's Vocational Teacher Enterprise Agreement 2019.
About You:
- You will need to hold relevant and/or current trade qualifications and a minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
- A Training and Assessment qualification: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116); or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) with Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills (TAELLN411 or TAELLN401); and Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502, TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B).
- Are passionate about sharing your knowledge with the next generation of electricians and engineers.
- Willingness to continually learn and develop as a TAFE Teacher.
- Hold a current Employee Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
