Salary
  • Level 8 - $110,629 to $125,223 pa (plus 17% superannuation)

Responsibilities
  • Join a supportive and collaborative environment of experienced dentists and academic staff who will provide mentorship and assist with developing your skills and competencies in clinical dentistry.
  • Work in the Charles Sturt Dental and Oral Health clinics three days per week, providing routine dental work including independent examination, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment for patients.
  • Supervise dental and/or oral health therapy students in their teaching and learning environments for two days per week.
  • During academic session breaks, see patients five days per week.
  • Have the opportunity for further study, including enrolment in a Bachelor of Science (Hons) or a Higher Degree by Research, or training with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Dental Science or similar, AND full dental registration or eligibility to obtain registration as a dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra).
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to providing contemporary evidence-based patient care and ability to exercise clinical reasoning, independent judgement and problem solving.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively and sensitively with a wide range of individuals and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to developing the knowledge and skills necessary to supervise dental and/or oral health therapy students in their teaching and learning environments.
