Salary
  • $99,474 - $107,690 pa (Level 6) + 14.25% superannuation

Responsibilities
  • Deliver initiatives and activities that support student and institutional understanding of and outcomes in graduate employability.
  • Provide one-to-one careers counselling to prospective and current students, and alumni (up to 18 months post-graduation).
  • Coordinate and promote campus visits from prospective graduate employers and organise graduate recruitment seminars.
  • Work collaboratively with Faculties and provide them with resources and advice in relation to in-curricular support and industry engagement as it relates to the areas of student service learning, practicum and internship experiences.
  • Engage in effective use of career software tools (CareerHub or similar) through liaison with external vendors, and regular review and evaluation of resources and user analytics.
  • Design, deliver and evaluate a suite of resources and workshops to support students in their career development journey.
  • Work with the Prospective Student Office and Admissions Office to provide careers advice to prospective or new students at Open Day and other student events.

Requirements
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification(s) (Education, Psychology, Human Resources, Business) and/or completion of an endorsed Career Development Graduate Certificate, consistent with the professional requirements of the Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Registered professional membership with the Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role in the careers field, ideally within the education or tertiary environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under general direction including capability to take the lead on projects within a team (as required), take responsibility for outcomes and see a task or project through from inception to completion.
  • Demonstrated technical skills utilising computer software platforms.
  • Experience in CareerHub, Abintegro, or similar career service software would be desirable.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Apply discretion and sensitivity to dealing with confidential information, including effective application of policies and procedures.
  • Effective time management skills with an ability to manage workload effectively.
  • Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
