The Opportunity
Work collaboratively and collegially to enable the design, development and delivery of effective blended and online learning environments to support high-quality curriculum and innovations in learning and teaching. In this role you will provide expert advice, training and resources to enable staff to engage with and embed educational technologies in programs and courses. You will build institutional capacity and staff capabilities in a blended learning environment while promoting effective, innovative and technology-enhanced learning within the University. You will evaluate educational technologies for learning and teaching purposes.
You will
- Design, develop and deliver blended and online learning environments to support high quality curriculum and innovations in learning and teaching;
- Provide a broad range of expert advice, training and resources to enable staff to engage with and embed educational technologies in programs and courses;
- Take a leadership role in the implementation of strategic change initiatives in blended learning and teaching;
- Promote and support the integration of innovative and emerging educational technologies into the University’s ICT infrastructure to advance online and blended learning.

As a clear communicator and confident problem-solver, you excel in breaking down complex tasks to develop customer centric solutions. You are agile in your approach and capable of prioritising your workload to ensure the highest levels of service delivery. Your highly developed investigative, conceptual and analytical problem skills are the key to your success. Your exceptional interpersonal skills allow you to positively engage and influence stakeholders to support the integration of new and innovative technologies.
You will possess:
- Completion of a relevant degree with at least five years subsequent relevant experience in education and technology or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge training and/or experience.
- Expertise in the design and development of synchronous and asynchronous learning materials coupled with functional and pedagogical aspects of digital learning objects, learning management systems and educational technologies, including experience with designing for a diverse range of learners using universal design principles.
- Success in working in a higher education context with a range of academic staff and academic support staff to effectively integrate educational technologies and apply contemporary pedagogical principles relevant to effective learning and teaching into the curriculum to enhance student engagement and learning.
- High level of competence in designing and developing online and blended professional learning materials and facilitating professional learning activities to support and advance the effective use of educational technologies in the curriculum.
