The Opportunity
Research and Revenue Accounting Services (R&R) provides finance business partnering services to researchers, project managers, faculty stakeholders by supporting project costing, providing financial advice and funds management across the duration of projects.
The Research and Revenue Accounting Services division are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Analyst in the delivery of business strategy and business analysis solutions. Reporting to the Group Manager of Research and Revenue Finance Business Partnering, you will be responsible for identifying business improvement needs, assessing the impact of changes, capturing and documenting requirements and ensuring requirements are delivered whilst supporting the business through the implementation and change process.
You will also be responsible for:
- Contributing to strategic planning and achievement of business unit goals by developing solutions to improve financial capability and respond to issues, trends and opportunities
- Coordinating and overseeing business process improvements, by setting the direction, introducing relevant tools and methodologies, and analysing business processes to identify and recommend solutions
- Leading the costing and budget development, financial reporting and compliance requirements for complex research projects
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with various stakeholders to communicate overall vision, facilitate change and enhance business policies and processes
About You
To ensure your success in this role, you will have:
- Extensive Business Analysis experience, including requirements gathering, business process analysis, planning, design, testing and system integration
- Experience in mapping business requirements and identifying gaps and opportunities
- Strong relationship management and consulting skills including the ability to influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders
- Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills
- Advanced computer literacy skills using a broad range of software packages including Microsoft suite of applications and financial management systems such as SAP or similar accounting packages relating to the analysis of financial data
- Expertise in Microsoft PowerBI or similar enterprise data analysis and visualisation tools
