About the Role
This role will play a critical part in advancing the University’s strategic objectives and operational excellence. You will shape and implement key strategic initiatives that align with Western’s long-term goals. Working closely with the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, streamline operational processes, and support the successful delivery of high-impact projects across the University.
You will contribute to the development and implementation of university-wide strategies that foster growth, innovation, and meaningful impact. Managing complex, high-priority projects from inception to completion, you will review and refine business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and applying best practices to enhance efficiency.
As a leader, you will guide a diverse and talented team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior executives and external partners will be key to aligning strategic priorities. Additionally, you will set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and assess the success of these initiatives.
About You
You are a passionate and results-driven leader with a proven ability to shape and implement strategic initiatives in large, complex organisations. With a strong background in strategy, operations, and project management, you are skilled at leading cross-functional teams and managing high-priority projects from planning to delivery.
Your experience has equipped you with the ability to think strategically while also being hands-on when required. You are adept at fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, inspiring teams to achieve their best work in alignment with organisational goals. Your strong interpersonal skills allow you to build and maintain productive relationships with senior executives and external stakeholders, ensuring strategic priorities are effectively communicated and aligned across the organisation.
In addition to your leadership and strategic thinking, you have a solid track record of setting and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), using data-driven insights to guide decision-making and assess the success of initiatives.
