The Opportunity
Are you ready to lead and innovate in the realm of student success? The College is looking for a dedicated Senior Student Success Coach and Pilot Team Leader to drive the implementation of their cutting-edge Student Success Framework as part of Destination College. This role is pivotal in integrating pastoral care, career development, and academic support to create a seamless and supportive environment for our students.
As the Senior Student Success Coach and Pilot Team Leader, you will lead and guide a team of dedicated Student Success Coaches, manage the overall coaching function, and collaborate with academic leaders to enhance student retention and success. You will be responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based coaching strategies, engaging with students at risk, and driving initiatives to support their academic and personal growth. Your role will also involve resolving complex student-related issues, advocating for students, and preparing comprehensive project reports for senior staff.
This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity until 30 June 2025, based at The College’s Nirimba Campus (Blacktown), although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. Please review the position description for further information.
About You
You are a qualified professional with a postgraduate degree and extensive experience in student success and coaching within the tertiary education sector. Your deep understanding of student engagement and career management principles, especially for diverse and underrepresented populations, sets you apart. With significant leadership experience, you excel in mentoring, training, and implementing large-scale initiatives to boost student outcomes. Your analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities allow you to develop innovative solutions and handle sensitive matters with discretion and initiative.

Working with Children Check
As the College provides education opportunities to a range of ages including under 18 years olds, it is a prerequisite to have/gain WWC clearance. It is a mandatory requirement to obtain and maintain a “NSW Working with Children Check Clearance” to work at The College.

Remuneration Package: Professional Staff Level 7 $116,862 p.a. (comprising Salary of $102,802 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading) in accordance with the College Enterprise Agreement.
