Salary
  • Base salary will be in the range $98,582.63 - $107,349.47 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 7)

Responsibilities
  • Support the development and delivery of the AWaGHR Communication Plan, aligning with the Centre’s strategic priorities.
  • Manage communication services for research promotion and stakeholder engagement.
  • Produce and manage communication content for websites (e.g., ALSWH, AWaGHR) using WordPress, supervise staff, and liaise with external service providers.
  • Create and maintain newsletters for ALSWH participants, AWaGHR Centre, and specific projects.
  • Prepare submissions on matters relevant to women and girls' health research.
  • Advise AWaGHR staff and students on media and communication strategies, including media releases and conference materials.
  • Participate in knowledge translation strategies and stakeholder engagement to promote research findings.

Requirements
  • Qualifications and training equivalent to an undergraduate degree in science communication or a related field and at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated experience summarising complex research findings into content accessible to a range of end consumers - e.g., health professionals, general public, policy makers.
  • Strong knowledge in contemporary communication practices, as demonstrated through recent work experience and a track record of successful delivery.
  • Ability to effectively promote research programs to multiple audiences(including industry, government, community and professional bodies)
  • Knowledge/skills in website development and content management (e.g., WordPRESS)
  • Knowledge/skills across a range of content development platforms - e.g., graphics (CANVA), animation (e.g., Vyond), social media, etc.
