Responsibilities
  • Provide expert HR advice and services to Swinburne College.
  • Develop and implement essential HR frameworks, processes, and systems.
  • Oversee the transition of operational processes from Swinburne University to Swinburne College's internal People and Culture function.
  • Support the execution of a new Enterprise Agreement when activated.
  • Adapt and tailor HR services to meet the unique needs of Swinburne College.

Requirements
  • Extensive relevant experience in a post-secondary or higher education setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify business needs and develop plans.
  • Experience working in a unionised and complex environment.
  • Sound problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse options and provide advice.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and experience interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience in dispute resolution, performance management, grievance handling, and mediation.
  • Degree or Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
