The Opportunity
Join us at the University of the Sunshine Coast as a Program Manager, Data Analytics, where you'll leverage your expertise in program management and data analytics strategies to propel our institution towards a future defined by insightful data-driven decisions. As part of our newly established Information and Analytics Unit, you will lead the coordinated delivery of strategic data analytics initiatives across all university portfolios and campuses. Working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, you will lead efforts to enhance efficiency, drive growth, and foster competitive differentiation through the deployment of cutting-edge analytics technologies and practices. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the strategic and operational performance of our university, supporting the development of modern data governance frameworks, and nurturing a community of excellence in business analytics.
You will
- Lead the delivery of an innovative data analytics roadmap, coordinating teams and initiatives to unlock the full potential of data and drive the university’s strategic goals forward;
- Bring your technical expertise and program management skills to ensure every deliverable is met on time and with impact, aligning outcomes with our broader strategic objectives;
- Modernise our data analytics landscape by applying strong program management and business acumen, working collaboratively across a large and evolving organisational environment;
- Deliver exceptional results with agility, professionalism, and a client-focused mindset, while building and maintaining strong, productive relationships.

With your deep program management expertise, technical know-how, and collaborative mindset, you’ll drive the university’s data analytics roadmap to life, ensuring we meet our strategic goals. From integrating complex data systems to delivering user-friendly dashboards and reports, you’ll bring creativity, problem-solving, and a proactive approach to everything you do. You will possess:
- Proven program and project management skills, especially in technology-driven analytics environments.
- Hands-on experience with data analytics technologies and business intelligence tools, particularly within the Microsoft suite.
- Exceptional ability to plan, organise, and deliver projects from start to finish, with expertise in agile methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate goals into action, negotiate, and guide teams to success.
- A solid understanding of modern business practices and how to apply them effectively within a university setting.
- A creative problem-solver who can negotiate, innovate, and lead change with confidence.
