THE ROLE
We seek a Certificate III qualified Educator for a full time, 12 month fixed term maternity leave cover arrangement at Waratah Cottage.
Reporting to the Room Leader, you will be an advocate for children, believe in quality early education and the value of relationships, and be willing to collaborate with the university community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the educational program, including developmental records
- Interact respectfully and positively with children and families
- Work positively, respectfully, and collaboratively with a large, diverse team
- Maintain a current understanding of the EYLF and National Quality Standards
- Support and contribute to all diversity, equity, and inclusion activities
- Demonstrate a commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
- Follow approved policies and procedures to help keep children safe (child protection, supervision, health and wellbeing)
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- ACECQA approved Certificate III in early childhood education
- Approved First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualification
- Working with Children Check
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Australia
- Previous experience working with children aged 0-5 years is desirable
