Responsibilities
  • Manage the identification, development and delivery of opportunities for RMIT researchers to partner with end users (commercial and not for profit organisations).
  • Identify and match excellence in RMIT with the research needs of commercial and not for profit organisations.
  • Link RMIT researchers with researchers in other institutions to ensure delivery of the best research solution for end users.
  • Manage the identification, exploration and development of research bids and grant applications for large-scale, cross-disciplinary research.
  • Responsible for ongoing strategic relationship management with RMIT’s key stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Extensive experience in project managing the development of complex, competitive, large-scale, multi-institutional project bids.
  • Ability to manage and develop sustainable, strategic and complex partnerships with university, industry and not-for-profit sectors.
  • Highly developed organisational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business writing skills and demonstrated experience facilitating comprehensive recommendations, project and implementation plans, briefing papers and reports.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining strong professional relationships and effective networks with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to implement process improvement initiatives in response to external issues.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, high demand role, requiring strong problem solving and analytical skills.
