Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School of Media and Communication in the field of Digital Communication.
  • Carry out teaching activities related to Digital Communication within undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs.
  • Maintain and advance scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities related to Digital Communication.
  • Promote undergraduate and postgraduate programs by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities.
  • Work collaboratively and collegially with all RMIT staff and update colleagues and students on developments in their related research specialisation.
  • Coordinate courses offered onshore and offshore, including teaching courses in intensive mode at the Singapore Institute of Management.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver Digital Communication courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Ability to undertake course coordination role.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively and negotiate sensitively with students on effective learning issues.
  • Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs in Communication.
  • Ability to build effective networks with colleagues and generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills appropriate for interacting with higher degree by research candidates, staff and industry.
