About School of Science
The School of Science is a large and comprehensive institution excelling in learning, teaching, and research across a wide range of scientific disciplines, including biological, chemical, environmental, food, forensic, medical, nutritional, and physical sciences, as well as agriculture and astronomy. About the role
The Industry Senior Lecturer in Forensic Science will leverage their professional, vocational, and specialised industry expertise to engage in a variety of academic activities, including the review, development, implementation, and teaching of subjects and curriculum in the undergraduate and postgraduate Forensic Science programs. They will also conduct research and supervise postgraduate (Masters and PhD) students in their area of expertise. The appointee will foster relationships both within and outside the University, contributing to the growth of our Forensic Science team and collaborating closely with research and teaching staff across the School of Science.
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate industry leadership in Forensic Science, including curriculum development and academic leadership within the School. They will actively engage in teaching, ensuring programs and units are contemporary and incorporate e-learning methods, while also facilitating the transition of undergraduate students to postgraduate research. The candidate will lead and conduct research, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, publish impactful research articles, and secure sustainable research funding through quality grant proposals. They will contribute to the School’s leadership, participate in administrative duties, maintain effective communication with staff and students, and foster relationships with relevant State and National organisations.

Remuneration Package: Academic Level C $67,816 to $77,793 p.a. (comprising Salary of $57,364 to $65,891 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
