About the Role
As the Manager of Direct Recruitment and Enquiries, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the first impression that prospective students have of Swinburne University of Technology. Your focus will be on ensuring that every initial interaction is not only positive and informative but also encourages further engagement, leading to applications and enrolments.
In this position, you will lead the management of the direct recruitment process, employing high-touch strategies to optimise conversion rates. You will also oversee the management of all inbound prospective student inquiries, ensuring they are addressed promptly and efficiently, all while maintaining a strong recruitment focus and a commitment to exceptional service.
Reporting directly to the Director of Domestic Recruitment and Admissions within the Future Students portfolio, you will be responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies and initiatives aimed at achieving our recruitment goals. This role currently includes management of a team of five direct reports, providing you with the opportunity to lead and inspire others in achieving our shared mission.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated experience in the management of higher education and TAFE recruitment functions with a focus on direct applicant channels.
- Proven expertise in the management of people and projects including experience in initiating and managing change; prioritising, monitoring and evaluating work performance and flow; and meeting deadlines in a complex and demanding environment.
- Knowledge of Australian tertiary education, university systems and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and to engage effectively with students, staff and other stakeholders from a diverse range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Expertise in using a CRM platform for recruitment management, lead tracking and performance reporting.
Qualifications
Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
