About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Estate and Space Planner to lead innovative space planning projects across our three campuses. In this dynamic position, you will manage key systems like Archibus and Space Central, driving improvements in space data and strategic planning.
As the Estate and Space Planner, you will engage with stakeholders to develop comprehensive project briefs, ensuring optimal utilization of our facilities. Your expertise will guide the planning of academic and professional staff accommodations, Learning and Teaching spaces, and specialized research labs. Collaborating with various departments, you will ensure effective project governance and communication.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated experience and proven track record in one or more areas relating to architecture, project documentation, property, space management, project management or other.
- Demonstrate detailed analytical and critical thinking, including applying advanced analytical skills – both quantitative and qualitative as related to space analysis and organisational planning.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Excel including vlookup and other analytical methods, Autocad (or like), Cadcorp Spatial Information System (preferred), Archibus (preferred) to develop timely and considered quality space management and asset solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to think flexibly, creatively and quickly under pressure having regard for knowledge of and compliance with frameworks such as Building and Design Codes/Standards as well as the university’s strategic priorities and frameworks.
- Exceptional communication, engagement and effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently under broad direction as well as part of a team, both internally and across university teams.
Qualifications
Degree qualifications in Architecture, Urban Planning and Design or like discipline (and progress towards post grad quals or equivalent gained through experience) or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
