About This Opportunity
As the Senior Administration Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Business Enhancement team within the Academic Services Division. Your responsibilities will include leading business process improvement initiatives, focusing on digitization and automation projects spearheaded by the Office of the Academic Registrar. This will ultimately contribute to enhancing student experiences and streamlining administrative processes across the university.
You will report to the Coordinator of Business Enhancement and collaborate closely with other ASD team members and ITS developers involved in implementing technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Project Implementation and Testing: Lead the development of acceptance criteria and oversee user acceptance testing. Manage the identification and resolution of bugs and defects. Coordinate business readiness activities, including training materials and information dissemination.
- Reporting and Compliance: Monitor and report on the usage, volumes, and compliance of digitized processes. Identify deficiencies in current policies and suggest improvements. Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop reporting frameworks. Prepare reports by analyzing and summarizing relevant information.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster collaborative relationships with business, technical, and university stakeholders to analyse current procedures and establish improved processes and project requirements.
About You
Essential
- Degree completion with relevant experience or equivalent education/training.
- Proficiency in current technologies.
- Current or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge regarding the University's structure, policies, and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, time management, and attention to detail skills.
- Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills to manage stakeholder expectations and build productive relationships.
Desirable
- Relevant experience in student administration in a higher education institution or similar environment.
You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
