Salary
  • Academic B – $119,231 – $141,581 p.a. (pro rata for part-time) plus 17% super

Responsibilities
  • Contributing to research across the unit including research on intergenerational trauma, applied mixed methods research and strategies to improve Indigenous health outcomes
  • Conducting scoping reviews and both quantitative and qualitative data analysis
  • Producing high quality publications in peer reviewed journals and contributing to other papers

Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in a culturally safe environment
  • Experience in public health research or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health
  • Experience or an understanding of trauma-informed approaches
  • PhD or equivalent expertise and experience in public health or related field
  • Excellent organisational skills coupled with the ability to effectively time manage and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaboration skills that enable effective work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Emerging research profile evidenced by a track record of peer-reviewed publications
  • Excellent data collection and statistical analysis skills, experienced with both quantitative and qualitative analysis software
