About the Role:
As the Workplace Learning Coordinator, you will liaise with businesses and other organisations to source and negotiate new workplace learning positions (internships) for students and manage the relationship between students and employers. You will play a leading role in ensuring a high-quality workplace learning experience for every Business student and be able to identify business opportunities that positively impact both the student experience and the Business School.
This is a part-time position at HEP 7, $94,526 - $102,320 plus 17% superannuation, classification working 22.05 (0.6 FTE) hours per week over a continuing contract period.
About You:
We are seeking an exceptional individual with a strong background in business development and relationship management to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in securing new internship opportunities and enriching workplace learning experiences for students. You will have a unique ability to build and nurture connections with industry, VU staff, and students. Equally important, you will work closely with students, providing guidance and support throughout their internship journey, while ensuring all related administration and compliance tasks are meticulously handled. Duties
An example of duties you may perform will include:
- Negotiating with industry professionals to develop new and nurture existing workplace learning positions that maximise student learning
- Attending networking events to engage with businesses and expand partnerships
- Providing career coaching to students, equipping them for the professional job market
- Monitoring and mentoring students during their internship to ensure a valuable learning experience
- Ensuring all necessary administration, compliance, and reporting processes are accurately maintained and completed.
