About the Role:
Reporting to the relevant College Librarian and working closely with colleagues across the Library and University, the Scholarly Information Services Librarian role will help support the delivery of high-quality, strategically aligned library services that support the successful learning, teaching, and research outcomes of the University. You will play a key role in curriculum design and development by identifying and selecting appropriate information sources and support the creation and delivery of targeted training programs and modules to enhance student scholarly literacy for your College.
This is a full time position at a HEP 6, $85,667 - $92,728 classification working 36.75 hours per week over a continuing contract period.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality advice and services to relevant stakeholders regarding Library learning, teaching and research services, resources and facilities.
- Provide advice, training and support for researchers in relation to undertaking effective scholarly communication, research data management and optimisation of research outputs.
- Facilitate the development of student and staff capability in relation to scholarly literacy via the promotion and delivery of strategically and curriculum aligned training programs and modules.
About You:
- Knowledge of the academic library sector in relation to scholarly literacy, information management and collection development.
- Familiarity with learning management systems and principles of learning design.
- Highly motivated and able to exercise a high level of judgement, initiative, independence and problem-solving.
