The Opportunity
As our Employee Services Assistant at UniSC, you'll be at the heart of our People & Culture operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll provide seamless, high quality administrative support that empowers our team to deliver outstanding services. With a collaborative and proactive approach, you'll play a vital role in helping the department achieve its goals, creating a positive and efficient experience for our staff and making a real impact across the university community.
You will
- be the friendly face and first point of contact for our P&C team, delivering exceptional customer focused receptionist services;
- handle a variety of queries and ensure everyone feels supported and valued; and
- support our team with a range of exciting organisational tasks - think arranging meetings, managing correspondence, keeping records in order, and even generating reports. You'll help streamline operations and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
About you
You're someone who thrives on creating smooth, efficient operations while delivering friendly, proactive service. Whether you're the welcoming face at reception, managing email and phone queries, or assisting with the preparation of important documents like contracts and letters, you bring a positive, can-do attitude. You're organised and detail focused, confidently handling record keeping, verifying staff credentials, and managing routine admin tasks. With a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism, you’ll help keep our People & Culture team running seamlessly, making a meaningful impact in everything you do.
You will possess:
- Solid understanding and interest in contemporary HR principles and processes, and how they integrate with other functions in a corporate setting.
- Skilled in providing detailed administrative support, with strong computing abilities, producing accurate documents across a variety of software applications with the ability to pick-up and learn new systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and written communication skills, with proven strengths in delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines.
