About the Role
This role sits within the ServiceNow Solutions Team, working closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Development Teams, as well as Enterprise Architecture, to ensure ServiceNow development aligns with university goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide thought leadership on optimal ServiceNow design and implementation, focusing on strategic alignment, robust architecture, seamless integration, governance, and continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary technical authority for ServiceNow, overseeing platform architecture, integration, and interfacing technologies.
- Ensure high-level design documentation for clear development, maintenance, and future enhancements, promoting transparency and alignment across teams.
Who we are looking for
We’re looking for people who demonstrate proven experience in designing ServiceNow solutions to meet business needs, ensuring alignment with organisational goals through tailored workflows, custom applications, and integrations that drive efficiency and add measurable value.
You will also have:
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (or higher) certification and ITIL certification with service management experience in an operational setting.
- Extensive experience implementing and integrating complex systems, ensuring seamless functionality, optimised data flow, and alignment with organisational objectives.
- Proficient in JavaScript, including expertise in AngularJS as a web application framework on the ServiceNow platform. This experience includes developing and customizing user interfaces, enhancing functionality, and building dynamic, responsive applications that meet complex business needs.
- Strong functional and technical expertise in ServiceNow, with significant experience in large-scale implementations.
- Proven success in positioning ServiceNow as an enterprise service management and development platform for custom applications across IT, HR, and Finance.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
