About This Opportunity
The primary purpose of the position is to support the MIND-AD CRE through provision of research coordination, administrative, financial and engagement services. The Program Coordinator has the responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the CRE and may be responsible for the delegation of tasks to other team members. The position operates under the direction of the CRE Director and the CRE Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the research and operations of the MIND-AD CRE program, including reporting requirements, expenditure monitoring, and the development of internal procedures.
- Support the CRE Manager with external research contracts, identify and develop funding applications, and consulting and collaborating with key stakeholders across the CRE.
- Develop and maintain a register of CRE project milestones, timelines, and draft reports, submissions, proposals, and other external documents.
- Rapidly acquire an understanding of UQ policy and procedures in finance, travel, and hospitality, process requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices, reconcile expenses including credit card expenditure, and prepare and implement approved procurement and event plans.
- Coordinate CRE events, including meetings and conferences, and help create engagement materials.

About You
Completion of a degree with relevant experience in a tertiary/research environment; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training. Previous experience in a Centre of Research Excellence will be highly regarded.
Demonstrated project coordination experience within a university/research environment with experience in planning, monitoring and research administration including with the financial and compliance management of research grants.
Knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the University’s financial management systems, policies and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to work independently under general direction, and within a team environment, using initiative and judgement.
Demonstrated organisational skills and time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Demonstrated high level experience with collaborative partnerships and a well-developed capacity to consult, collaborate and negotiate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Effective interpersonal skills and well-developed skills in written, oral and digital communication.
Excellent accuracy, analytical skills and attention to detail.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, etc.
