Salary
  • Academic Level C $129,607 - $148,787 per annum (pro rata for part-time) plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Integral to the teaching of paediatric components within the clinical rotations of the MBBS program.
  • Facilitating and delivering tutorials that meet the rigorous learning objectives of the program.
  • Contributing to the education and assessment of medical students.
  • Traveling to other College locations and within the region on occasion, which may include overnight stays and after-hours work.
  • Participating in competency and compliance training to ensure a best practice clinical education experience is delivered.

Requirements
  • Current registration as a medical practitioner in Australia.
  • Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics) or equivalent.
  • Doctoral qualifications or equivalent accreditation and standing in Paediatrics and/or equivalent relevant professional experience in a related field.
  • Substantial clinical experience in Paediatrics.
  • Experience in teaching in the area of undergraduate medical education.
  • Substantial experience in the provision of clinical care in rural and/or remote areas.
  • A proven record of scholarship relevant to Paediatric health.
  • Strong personal commitment to the strategic intent and values of the College of Medicine.
  • Advanced interpersonal, organisational and people management skills.
