The Opportunity
Are you passionate about international education and ready to lead a dynamic team? Western’s International Division is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader for our International Admissions team. In this role you will provide key support to the Manager International Admissions to assist in the smooth, professional, and efficient running of the University’s admissions operation.
The Team Leader International Admissions will be primarily responsible for decision making, processing of applications and managing the workload of the team to ensure they are responding in a timely manner through the applicant lifecycle from initial enquiry to offer and confirmation. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing StudyLink systems administration and troubleshooting, managing and reporting course quotas, scholarships and managing onshore and offshore pathway partner admission processes. You will engage with a diverse range of stakeholders within and outside of the University and lead a dedicated team committed to the admission of genuine, quality students to Western. Additionally, you will monitor turnaround times to meet service level agreements, maintain a thorough understanding of university courses and entry requirements, and use independent judgment to assess a wide range of international applicants. As a Team Leader you will support your team members’ professional development and manage performance to achieve excellence.
This is a full-time, ongoing position based at Parramatta South Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University and locations may be required. Please review the position description for further information.
About You
You are a dynamic professional with a relevant degree or equivalent training, bringing substantial experience in international admissions within a large educational organisation. Your deep understanding of both Australian and overseas education systems, coupled with your comprehensive knowledge of the Simplified Student Visa Framework and Australian student visa requirements, makes you an expert in assessing eligibility for university courses. Your analytical and problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you have a keen eye for detail, always exercising sound judgment and initiative. You excel in communication and interpersonal skills, motivating your team, resolving conflicts, and building effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. With high-level computer competency, especially in managing large-scale databases like StudyLink and Banner, you ensure data integrity and seamless operations.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 7 $121,056 to $130,572 p.a. (comprising Salary of $102,294 to $110,335 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
