Salary
  • (HEO7) $98,343 – $109,989 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality primary opinion services to a range of small animal and wildlife patients within the Small Animal Hospital.
  • Contribute to clinical teaching and supervision of students by involving them in clinical case management.
  • Provide emergency and critical care services as a minor part of the role.
  • Mentor other staff including interns and veterinary nursing team members on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements
  • Proven veterinary experience in first opinion services.
  • Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and experience in assisting, teaching or mentoring others.
  • Demonstrated high level written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with proven ability to effectively prioritise work.
  • Demonstrated ability to triage.
