Responsibilities
  • Develop curriculum and design effective learning opportunities for students at a tertiary level in Initial Teacher Education programs and other related education programs.
  • Work in teaching teams to enhance the educational experience.
  • Conduct research that informs evidence-based approaches to research projects, course, and teaching delivery.
  • May be required to undertake travel to other La Trobe University campuses as negotiated.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in Digital Technologies in education and an understanding of current research and trends that inform quality pedagogy in a range of learning environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing innovative curriculum using evidence-based approaches for quality learning opportunities with Digital Technologies in education.
  • PhD or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline areas.
  • Demonstrated competence in teaching and curriculum development.
  • Evidence of high quality and/or high impact research conducted and published or otherwise disseminated, relative to opportunity.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, or co-supervise postgraduate students.
  • Sound analytical skills with an ability to communicate complex information clearly both orally and in writing.
  • High level organisational skills with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, initiate and follow-up actions, all with minimal or no supervision.
  • High level oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively with staff and students from diverse backgrounds.
